Redline Friction Modifier Compatible with petroleum or synthetic gear oils, this product will significantly reduce the friction break-in of differentials, reducing break-in temperatures. Limited slip or Positraction units will often chatter without use of this product or a gear oil with a similar modifier, so add only enough to eliminate the chatter and avoid making the plates or clutches too slippery.

Limited-slip or Positraction units use plates or clutches to provide the proper amount of lock-up to the differential. Slippery lubricants are required to prevent chatter, but too much slipperiness causes excessive wheel spin, reducing traction. For perfect traction, use Redline 75W90NS and add Friction Modifier until the chatter disappears.
